OUR DIRECTOR
Laura Goodspeed, M.Ed.
Laura is proud to serve as the director and AM/PM teacher at CVPNS. She has been teaching in classrooms since 2015 and joined CVPNS in 2023. Laura holds a Master’s in Education and is passionate about child-centered learning. She enjoys supporting both children and parents at CVPNS, and is a parent herself of a CVPNS kid. Having grown up in a preschool co-op herself, Laura believes that a parent-led preschool benefits not only the students but also the adults who take part in the community.
Laura believes that when preschoolers learn to express their emotional and physical needs, they are better equipped to thrive in Kindergarten and beyond. She focuses on teaching autonomy and self-regulation so students feel safe at school and gain the confidence to be active members of their community.
When she is not in the classroom, Laura can be found sipping coffee and playing in the redwoods with her husband, kid, and terrier dog named Wallace.
