OUR DIRECTOR
Laura Goodspeed, M.Ed.
Laura is proud to be the director and AM/PM teacher at CVPNS. Although new to the role, Laura has been teaching in a classroom since 2015. With a Masters in Education and a passion for early childhood education, she uses her skills and expertise when supporting the children and parents of CVPNS. As a child herself of a preschool co-op, she firmly believes that a parent-led preschool environment is a benefit to the students as well as the adults engaging in the community.
Laura’s education philosophy is that preschoolers who learn how to advocate for and express their emotional and physical needs will excel greatly in Kindergarten and beyond. By teaching autonomy and self-regulation, students will feel safe in their school space and have the initiative to be a successful community member.
When she is not in the classroom, Laura can be found sipping chai and playing in the redwoods with her husband, toddler, and terrier dog named Wallace.
