All students are accepted on a two-week trial period. The final decision rests upon the Director. The child does NOT need to be potty-trained. The director will change diapers and is the only person who is authorized based on co-op rules. Often seeing other children going to the toilet will motivate the child to become potty-trained. Tuition is $95 per month. That's about $1.70 per hour. A deposit of $205 is required prior to admission. $10.00 is a one-time processing fee and if you should return to CVPNS in the future with other children, you need not pay this fee again. $100 is the maintenance deposit and will be refunded once the 4-hour school maintainence work has been fulfilled. The other $95 pays for the May/June tuition. Scholarships from the school and from the California Council of Parent Participation Nursery Schools are available. Please contact the Director for details. Parents who "join" the Co-op are actually enrolled in a non-credit Castro Valley Adult School parent education class. The laboratory work is done at the preschool. All adult members will be subject to a background check (Megan's Law) as well as show proof of a current, negative TB test before acceptance into the school. If you have any questions, you can either call the school 510-582-7731 or send an email to our membership committee. |
